This policy covers the OBDScan iPhone app ("the app"), made by OBDScan ("we").

What we collect

Nothing. In App Store privacy terms, the app declares Data Not Collected. The app has no account and we do not receive any information about you or how you use the app.

What stays on your iPhone

Your OBD data, recordings, trips, logs, dashboards and settings are stored only on your device. Recordings are kept in the app's Documents folder and are visible in the Files app. Exports and backups are created only when you ask, and are shared only where you choose to send them. Deleting the app deletes its data.

Permissions

Bluetooth is used only to talk to the OBD-II adapter you choose. Location (while in use) is requested only if you turn on trip route recording; the recorded route stays on your device and is never sent to us. Demo mode needs neither. You can turn any permission off in iPhone Settings › OBDScan.

Tracking

The app does not track you across apps or websites. It does not read the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Third parties

We do not share your data with anyone, because we do not collect it. This version of the app does not serve advertising.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights and deletion
